He will share insights into his career, life on the road, and the demands of working as a professional session drummer. The talk will conclude with a Q&A session, offering the audience a chance to engage directly with Christophe. More about Christophe Maas: Christophe Maas, from Meispelt, Luxembourg, is a London-based session drummer and percussionist with an impressive career spanning over 20 years. He has recorded and toured globally with a wide array of artists across diverse genres. Most notably, he spent nearly a decade touring with the multi-Grammy Award-winning band Mumford & Sons. Christophe has also toured extensively with rap artist Example, supported the meteoric rise of folk-pop sensation Maggie Rogers, and, most recently, joined Sting on his ‘Sting 3.0’ tour—the artist's first trio project since his time with The Police —throughout 2024 and now into 2025. In addition to his extensive touring experience, Christophe teaches and collaborates with both emerging and established artists. Beyond music, he is a Leica-endorsed photographer and an avid enthusiast of motorcycles and watches. Moderator: Lisa Burke
