Acoustic Blues
In its current formation created in 2017, musicians from various bands gathered around the multi-instrumentalist Yannick Weiss (guitar, percussion, harmonica), to give birth to the group “The Rusty Chair” which has found its niche in the world of music with an acoustic blues sound right through to rhythmic and melodious folk songs. The program varies between covers of well-known standards such as Willie Dixon’s mythical “Little Red Rooster” and own compositions. Musicians such as Tom Waits, Howlin’ Wolf, La Rue Kétanou and Louis Armstrong influenced the group.

Blues Rock
The Gaasserockbluesband was founded in 2005 by Mäx Courtois, Pascal Graffé and Fränk Henkes as a blues-trio. Very soon Régis Rolando-Eugio joined the band. With a new drummer, Nicolas Wise, and a keyboarder and Hammond-player, Fenny Gillen, they now play as a quintet. Their solid blues compositions combine a rough rock energy and more and more Luxembourgish lyrics written by Fränk Henkes. Among their influences, you’ll find Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton, JJ Cale, Albert King, The Rolling Stones, Brian Setzer and many others.
About Rocklab Live Sessions:
The Rocklab Live Sessions are filmed showcases by local bands & artists. Their aim is to promote and document the ever-growing number and diversity of artists from the local music scene, by offering them a stage, regardless of music genre, age and experience. A selection of songs from each showcase will be released digitally later on, to reach a larger audience and provide the artists with a quality live video.
