Formed in 1995 in Saalfeld, Germany,Ā Heaven Shall BurnĀ has become a pillar of the global extreme metal scene. Blending melodic death metal with metalcore intensity, the band is known not only for their crushing sound but also for their powerful, politically charged lyrics. With landmark albums likeĀ VetoĀ and the chart-toppingĀ Of Truth and Sacrifice, they’ve proven their staying power and artistic relevance.

Born from Gothenburg’s melodic death metal legacy, The Halo Effect unites five former In Flames members, including Jesper Strƶmblad and Mikael Stanne. Formed in 2019, they aim to revive the ’90s “Gothenburg sound.” Their debutĀ Days of the LostĀ channeled classic melodic aggression, whileĀ March of the UnheardĀ (2025) drives it further with fresh intensity.

Hailing from Waterford, Michigan, The Black Dahlia Murder have led American melodic death metal since 2001. Known for their relentless intensity, they’ve built a global following across nine albums. After frontman Trevor Strnad’s passing in 2022, guitarist Brian Eschbach took over vocals, joined by the return of Ryan Knight. Their 2024 albumĀ ServitudeĀ opens a bold new chapter.

Frozen Soul bring bone-chilling riffs from Texas, leading death metal’s frostbitten revival since 2018. WithĀ Crypt of IceĀ (2021) andĀ Glacial DominationĀ (2023), they deliver cold, crushing heaviness rooted in old-school death and hardcore grooves. On stage, their presence is massive, their sound glacial and unforgiving.
