MAYA
Crossover Jazz
For fans of Hiatus Kaiyote, Robert Glasper, Björk
MAYA is a Luxembourg-based crossover quintet led by vocalist and songwriter Chantal Kirsch. Rooted in jazz and neo-soul, the band blends strong grooves with poetic lyricism, subtle irony, and soft melancholy, creating a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary. Their music moves fluidly between intimacy and momentum, leaving space for nuance, texture, and collective interplay. In their 2025 debut album Between the Lines, MAYA explore themes of inner conflict, identity, and emotional honesty through spacious jazz-infused arrangements and organic, groove-driven textures. On stage, the band balances energy and sensitivity, improvisation and structure, inviting listeners into an immersive and narrative-driven live experience.
ThalamusProject
Alternative Rock
For fans of Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Talk Talk
The ThalamusProject is an electroacoustic group based in Luxembourg. Its name refers to the Thalamus, a part of the human brain which relays our perception to the consciousness. The anatomical name is derived from the ancient Greek word θάλαμος, which is often translated as “gateway to consciousness”. The music of the ThalamusProject directly relates to this picture: musical soundscapes are used as a canvas to depict the interplay of objectivity and subjectivity, woven into the ever-changing fabric of time, matter, and energy. Taking this perspective, Oliver Glassl (guitar, vocals, synthesizer, didgeridoo, loop machine), Cyril Yabroudi (bass, vocals), and Massimo Savo (drums) tell stories through multilayered arrangements while exploring a wide range of musical genres, from American folk to jazz, from world music to psychedelic sounds and progressive rock.
