Join us for two showcases by local acts Foreigners and The X. Get ready for an alt-pop evening taking you far into ambient soundscapes paired with subtle songwriting.
Foreigners
FOREIGNERS are an Electronic Experimental Music Project created by Yliana Paolini and Kevin Hinna, that incorporates the use of organic instrumentation and heavy electronics. Live, they are joined on vocals by Ema Macara (Æm). Between soft melancholy and powerful beats, their music creates a space of trance where you can get lost in the sound of synthesizers and subtle melodies that are easy to listen and dance to. Their last EP called: “An Island” is a conceptual EP based on the Dictionary of Sorrows written and developed by John Koenig, which attributes names and words to contemporary emotions and feelings that haven’t been named yet, arising in this hectic society we live in.
The X
The X are a Luxembourg based Electro-pop duo. Inspired by the 80’s, the modulated guitars, dreamy vocals, deep beats, sombre melodies and abstract soundscapes will take you to a unique universe bittersweet, futuristic and nostalgic…

The Rocklab Live Sessions are filmed showcases by local bands & artists. Their aim is to promote and document the ever-growing number and diversity of artists from the local music scene, by offering them a stage, regardless of music genre, age and experience. A selection of songs from each showcase will be released digitally later on, to reach a larger audience and provide the artists with a quality live video.
